A real Scottish wedding

Well, headed over to Aberdeen on Friday night. Not because I am Elton John and was doing a concert there (thanks very much to the anonymous person that said I looked like him - what do you look like then ?). So that’s me in my kilt with my Mum - the kilt was actually really comfortable and I would wear it again ! Not to go down the shops or anything though.
The wedding was really nice - it was in a marquee on my cousin’s farm - and after the ceremony there was a nice meal followed by a ceilidh - we all got on ok with the old Scottish Country Dancing, although our Eightsome Reel was a bit of a mess because I’d had too much to drink by that point and no-one could really work out or remember how to do it. Apart from that it was good though ! It was nice to see all the relatives, including my Godfather, Uncle Bruce and his wife Carol - they were the parents of the bride.
There’s the bride and groom ! Susan and Stuart. I got a lovely present from them for being an usher - a wee gold Beetle car with a clock in the top - very unusual ! After the wedding we all went to stay at Ardoe House - a really nice hotel just outside Aberdeen. There was a graduation party or something going on there and the girls were GORGEOUS ! Unfortunately we all headed to bed so there was no opportunity to any chatting up ! Next morning we headed back to Dundee after stopping off to see some relatives. We managed to persuade Mum to go to McDonald’s so I experienced their grilled chicken sandwich again - delicious. If you haven’t tried it, do so now ! So anyway, back to work now and the reality of those summer docs !
