Long time no post

Well things have been pretty crazy in the last two weeks - no time for trips to the gym, and no time for posts here either, but I’ve got a bit of time in the office today so thought I would update this with what I’ve been up to - nothing exciting though !
Two Wednesdays ago I was across in London for my lunch with Lorraine Heggessey, the Controller of BBC One. It was quite cool being in Television Centre. Anyway, she was really nice and although there was ten of us in there, we all had a good opportunity to speak to her and ask her about her plans for the channel. I did ask whether or not Fame Academy was coming back, although the answer will have to remain a secret I’m afraid ! At least for now…..
So last week, filming kind of got underway properly for the documentary series I’m currently working on. The title is going to be “The Fair Days of Summer”. So last week I was helping the other Assistant Producer, David with one of his programmes, down in Irvinestown. They were holding a competition called Lady of The Lake, so we were down to film that. It was quite a nice day, although the weather wasn’t great. Then we all stayed over in a hotel called Mahon’s. Unfortunately for me, although some people were in the lovely new part of the hotel (widescreen TVs in the room !) I was in the old part (which is now closed) which was not nearly so nice
So we stayed over there - I ended up drinking until 5am in the morning which was not a good thing !
