A trip to Kent

Well another weekend in London this weekend, but at least I had a bit of a trip out yesterday. It was scorching here which was nice for a change! I caught the train from London Bridge (above) to Bluewater, Europe’s largest shopping centre, which is in Kent.
It was weirdly relaxing on the train - I hadn’t been on a train for ages, but just watching the countryside rushing by was gently calming. Which is what I needed by the time I got to Bluewater. It was mobbed. Granted, Saturdays are probably not the best day to go there, but most of the shops were so busy I couldn’t be bothered even entering them!
So I met up with my friend Kevin, who’s now running the Boots at Bluewater - it’s their top store in the UK, and he’s now responsible for 300 staff which I couldn’t even begin to work out how to do! Anyway, we had lunch at Tootsies, a place apparently famous for their burgers. It was quite a good burger! It was nice to catch up with Kev, and then it was back to London and just a night in front of the telly.
