Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day - I reckon if you’re single it’s a very depressing day indeed! All the shops full of tacky mushy stuff but just in-yer-face enough to remind you that you’re single.
I very nearly sent a card this year, because I think that part of it’s a nice tradition, but my mates managed to dissuade me. They are probably right when they say that there’s no point when the object of my affections doesn’t even answer a general chatty e-mail or the ocassional tipsy text. That kind of makes me a bit sad, but I guess there’s not much I can do about that.
