BBC One launches new idents

BBC One launched its new idents today, which will start appearing on screen from October 7th.
They all have a circle theme and keep the colour red in some way, and I’ve got to say I really like them. There’s a lot of debate about whether or not channel idents are important, but I think they really shape the image of a TV channel, and give it a personality. Maybe that’s my marketing background just coming through!
The new idents will replace the current dancing idents - to me they look a lot fresher and more modern. You can see more pictures and read about them in the press release.
