I’ve got a Starbucks card for when I’m out in Dallas, and I like it! It’s basically a pre-paid card which you top up in Starbucks stores and then use like a debit card when you’re paying for your Mocha or Frappuccino.
Rumour has it that they will be launching them in the UK very soon. [...]

Photojojo (which is a great site / newsletter btw) has a great tip today on how to make a tealight candle holder into a photo stand - cheap and stylish!
The tip comes via a Swiss company, Atelier, which has turned a whole load of household objects into other useful objects (some just silly, but some [...]

Well I had my first couple of nights out for a while there. Friday night was an internal BBC fund-raising night at the BBC Club in Belfast for BBC Children In Need. We had a couple of karaoke duets, a raffle, and an auction. It all went pretty well really, and I reckon we raised [...]

I remember Fraggle Rock quite well, but I can’t remember whether I enjoyed it or not. I do know the big talking rubbish pile really annoyed me, and I liked the lighthouse keeper’s dog though.
Anyway, BBC News Online has an article today saying that The Jim Henson Company are developing a Fraggle Rock movie! I [...]

I posted a while ago about Singshot, the online karaoke service. One of my comments was that access for free was pretty limited, in that while listening to others’ efforts was free, actually recording tracks required a subscription after an initial two weeks.

Well, it looks like I’m going to get to realise one of my dreams next April - I’m planning a trip to Japan. It’s been a place that has intrigued me since I was small, and someplace I’ve always had a burning desire to visit - just to experience a [...]

A lot of my mates take the mickey out of me because they say I’m really organised. Well, I don’t think that’s really true - it’s just that I always try and do little things straight away rather than put them off. I think I could be quite a bit more organised with bigger projects, [...]

Well my mate John from Inverness joined us out on the town on Friday night - we started off in the Potthouse for some free cocktails (the Potthouse were relaunching their cocktail menu) and then headed off to The Fly (very disappointing - only about 20 people there), and then the Bot. I hadn’t been [...]

So I haven’t posted for a while. Basically I’m getting really busy at work now with Children In Need. It’s only six weeks away on Friday, and that really doesn’t just feel like long enough to get everything ready. It is manic, and it’s got to the point already where I’m waking up in the [...]
