Last episode of NYPD Blue airs

February 16th, 2007  |  by Simon  |  published in Film / TV

NYPD Blue is my absolute, tip-top favourite TV show. It’s brilliant.
Sadly however, it’s not made anymore in the US. More4 have been showing the last three series once a week, so I’ve been coming home every Tuesday night, eagerly awaiting my next fix.
They showed two episodes this Tuesday night. I’d just got to the end [...]

Hmmm.. Valentine’s Day and various ramblings

February 14th, 2007  |  by Simon  |  published in Uncategorized

Well I haven’t posted much recently, and it’s just because I haven’t been up to anything interesting. I’m still editing away at work, which is a bit boring because it’s programmes I didn’t film, so I just have to kind of put them together. I’ve got about another month left on it, and then hopefully [...]

Egg and Muffin toaster heading to the UK - my prayers have been answered.

February 6th, 2007  |  by Simon  |  published in Food and Drink, Technology

I HATE the Daily Mail. It is a right-wing scare-mongering paper that a) creates scare stories about how immigrants are taking over the UK and b) has at least one article slagging the BBC in it every day. So when I got a message from my Mum on my voicemail today telling me to go [...]

I was in a bit of a rut there for four or five days. It happens to me every now and then really - I just feel really down, can’t be bothered leaving the house, eating, or answering the telephone. It really sucks, because there’s nothing I can really do to get out of it… [...]

Spanning Sync - making it easy to edit your Mac based calendar online

February 6th, 2007  |  by Simon  |  published in Web/Tech

Spanning Sync is a great new program currently in beta which allows you to sync your iCal calendar on your Mac with a Google Calendar. I use iCal on my Mac basically as my diary, to help me keep track of where I need to be, and it’s really handy as it syncs on my [...]

Flickr to require Yahoo IDs

February 6th, 2007  |  by Simon  |  published in Photography, Web/Tech

Flickr, the online photo sharing site, which I really love, announced recently that they are soon to start requiring old school users (i.e. people that have used Flickr for a while, like myself) to use a Yahoo! ID to log in. There’s been a whole hoo-haa about it that has been picked up by the [...]
