Hostel 2 - not as scary as Hostel 1!

July 8th, 2007  |  Published in Film / TV  |  2 Comments

Hostel2 1

I went to see Hostel 2 last night with my friend G. I watched the first Hostel film on my own at home and can honestly say I was absolutely terrified. It was gruesome, grim, thrilling, and very scary. So I was kind of excited when I went to the cinema last night, but also kind of dreading seeing lots of unpleasant things which would give me nightmares.

I needn’t have worried really - Hostel 2 is a very different film from the first one. I was kind of disappointed to be honest. There are a lot of things you won’t predict that happen in the film, but it seems to have gone down a suspense route rather than a shock horror keep-everyone-on-the-edge-of-their-seat-with-their-eyes-covered route. And I think I would have preferred the latter. There is however a scene which will make men grimace. It ain’t pleasant!

Disappointing overall though. I did however, think Lauren German was extremely hot. That’s her playing Beth on the left in the pic above.

Terrified??? Hostel 1 was so lame… There was not one scary part in Hostel 1. Well, maybe the only scary part was seeing those 2 girls without any makeup. You’re a loser.

Whatever! I’m sure seeing you without any make-up would be terrifying.
