After two and half years, the Egg and Muffin Toaster (of my dreams) has finally made it to the UK, as the Tefal Toast n Egg. That is the good news. The only bad news for me is that it is only available in Comet, who don’t deliver to Northern Ireland. Could that be any [...]

Check it! It’s a cheeseburger in a can! Not for sale in the UK yet as far as I know, but imagine being able to come home drunk, get the can opener out and tuck into this bad boy! A perfect combination of convenience and meat. I love it!

I sure do like my burgers. If you’re ever making a stop in Dallas, be sure to check out a new burger joint that’s recently opened near downtown. It’s called Mooyah - and a bit like In-n-0ut in California (home of the best burgers), their philosophy is to keep things simple with their burgers. Their [...]

As part of my semi-regular reviews of ham and cheese toasted sandwiches, may I present this. It is from Deane’s Deli in Belfast. I have been there before, but the last time I ordered this it strangely came without being toasted, so I could not review it.
This time however, it did come toasted! It is [...]

I’ve written about River City before - it’s a Scottish soap which I tune into and which my friend works on in Glasgow. I was over in Scotland again a couple of weeks ago for a wedding (see the seperate post) and took the opportunity to go and catch up with Maj.
She was working late, so I [...]

How’s that for an attention grabbing headline! Yes, I think I am becoming addicted to making bread. So far I have made rolls, bagels, naan bread and a loaf, and I cannot explain how easy and relaxing it is. It’s also nice because bread you buy in shops is pumped full of chemicals to make [...]

I had a bit of an unpleasant experience a couple of weeks ago that saw me end up in casualty (that’s ER if you’re in America!)
I’d been out for lunch with a colleague, and had a nice tuna steak sandwich. Ten minutes later, and back at the office, I was absolutely roasting hot. I mentioned [...]

As you can probably tell from the picture above, my weekend was not too exciting. I watched the final of Big Brother, which sucked because the twins didn’t win it.
Saturday was spent chilling out, Sunday I went food shopping, and then I came home and made some rolls. They were totally easy and took me [...]

On my trip, I discovered that there is a chain of record shops in California called Rasputin Music. Rasputin was basically a guy that lived in Russia at the turn of the 20th Century. He was really controversial because he came to have a lot of influence over the Russian Royal Family at the time. He [...]

I found this whilst on holiday. It is Diet Coke plus and it is a bit more expensive than regular Diet Coke, at about $2.50 a bottle. It’s Diet Coke with vitamins and minerals added! Which seems a bit weird as it is like a healthy version of an unhealthy drink, but there you go. [...]
