Google today launched Lively which is a like a Second Life type world where you can create your own avatars, rooms and chat with your friends. Details of how to actually get started with it seem pretty skimpy at the moment, but one cool feature is that you can apparently watch Youtube videos in a [...]

TV programmes debuted on the UK iTunes store today. At the moment you can buy (for £1.89) programming from ABC, Disney and MTV amongst others. More info here.
Until we see some BBC and Channel 4 programmes on there, I don’t think this will really go mainstream, although some big shows like Ugly Betty and Grey’s [...]

I would have thought that I had pretty mainstream music tastes, but not according to this tool - I’m only 14.68% mainstream which is WAY cooler than like being 80% mainstream or something. Basically, it means putting a little sensor in your Nike+ shoe which then talks to a receiver attached to your iPod nano. The sensor then transmits data about your run [...]

Well I get a lot of my clothes from Hollister - a clothes shop in the US owned by the same people as Abercombie. They do a cool loyalty programme called Club Cali, which is pretty generous (giving you money off etc.), and if you spend over $500 with them, you become a gold card [...]
