I would have thought that I had pretty mainstream music tastes, but not according to this tool - I’m only 14.68% mainstream which is WAY cooler than like being 80% mainstream or something. It works using Last.fm which I’ve found to be a bit flakey in taking music submissions recently, but I’m hoping they’ll sort [...]

Did you watch Eurovision last night? I didn’t really as I was completely knackered after getting back from London. And I fancied Law and Order instead. I did however skim through it on my Tivo.
Russia’s act was called Serebro, and their lead singer is totally hot. That’s her in the middle of the pic above. [...]

Magnetosphere is a cool visualiser for iTunes - one of those little display things that reacts to your music when you turn it on from the View menu.
It’s free, and available here for Macs and Windows.

Mutya Buena’s “Real Girl” single is brilliant! Obviously it samples completely Lenny Kravitz’s “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over”, but it’s still great.
It sounds a bit like another of my favourite songs, Vanessa Paradis’ “Be My Baby” but that’s maybe because that track was written by Lenny Kravitz.
Anyway, “Real Girl” is out [...]

She looks hot there I reckon!

Well not that much to be honest! I have been going to the shops quite a bit, buying quite a lot of clothes, and just chilling out and relaxing. On Thursday night I had a family birthday night at my favourite restaurant in Dallas - Taverna. I love it! But my Mum hates it because [...]

I watched a brilliant documentary film last night called The Devil and Daniel Johnston. It’s about an artist / musician, who is obviously extremely talented, but who’s hindered by being a manic depressive.
The film tells the story of Daniel’s life basically - from his childhood in West Virginia, to time spent in the mid-80s in [...]

The American iTunes store is great - you can get TV shows (often before they air here), a bigger selection of music and music videos, and movies too. Unfortunately you can’t buy stuff in the US store unless you have a credit card registered to a US address. Or can you?
Well yes you can… here’s [...]

I’m Scottish, and proud of it as well, but the humiliation of watching the X-Factor over the last couple of weeks has made my stomach churn. I’m talking of course of the MacDonald Brothers who were booted out on Saturday. Grrreat! And thank goodness for that. An embarassment to Scotland.
Scotland has given the world some [...]
